Class of 2009 members toured the Capitol of Virginia
during their final class session in Richmond.
The
Class of 2009 visited Richmond during their final class session in
November. During their session, they met local leaders and
visited landmarks that exemplify Richmond's downtown re-birth.
They visited the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts and received a hard-hat
tour of the major expansion, toured Maggie Walker Governor's
School and visited with students, enjoyed dinner and
a discussion panel at VCU's award-winning
Brandcenter, toured the Capitol and CJW Johnston-Willis' Thomas Johns
Cancer Hospital. They were wowed by Richmond's new CenterStage
perfomering arts center and observed a re-enactment of the
Virginia Convention of 1775. Friday night was the Class of 2009
graduation ceremony which offered an opportunity to reconnect with
alumni and friends. Liz

Partnership, stirred hearts and minds as class graduation
speaker. Saturday morning the group participated in a
"Capturing the Experience" session to consider what
they learned and how they intend on using their knowledge gained
through LEAD
