Good News For You To Know
Website Work: LEAD VIRGINIA is currently partnering with Virginia Commonwealth University Creative Services on the redesign of LEAD VIRGINIA's website. Our Communications Committee, chaired by Bill Thornton '06 of ULLICO, Inc. is working on a fresh look for the website, while deploying technology that makes updated information readily accessible to alumni and current class members and utilizes
e-commerce tools for event registrations and the class application process. We look forward to the debut of a new look for LEAD VIRGINIA on the web later this year.

In the meantime, get your LinkedIn profiles updated and join the
LEAD VIRGINIA "group" that is forming. To start a LinkedIn profile, go to the website. It's free and a good technology networking tool that is user-friendly.

2009 Alumni Conference June 4-6: Highlights
This year's Alumni Conference will feature Virginia's Northern Neck on June 4-6, 2009. Highlighting such topics as the Chesapeake Bay, the maritime economy, energy and agricultural sustainability, the conference agenda will also feature a successful regional healthcare collaboration. Attendees will be treated to a special presentation on the cultural fabric of the Northern Neck by author and National Public Radio commentator Thea Marshall.

Conference attendees will stay at The Tides Inn nestled in a luminous waterfront setting on Carter's Creek, bordered by the historic Chesapeake Bay and the Potomac and Rappahannock Rivers.
