Class dinner at the Virginia Historical Society. Richmond area alumni are welcome to attend the reception and dinner but seating is limited; cost for alumni is $50 to attend. Speakers are Bill Pantele, President of the Richmond City Council; Greg Wingfield, President & CEO of the Greater Richmond Partnership; and Jim Ukrop, Chairman of Ukrops/First Market Bank.

Graduation Dinner at The Jefferson Hotel. Reception at 6 p.m., dinner and program at 7:00 p.m. Invitations have been mailed. Keynote speaker for the graduation dinner will be Dr. Walter Witschey, Professor of Anthropology and Science Education at Longwood University, and former Award winning Director of the Science Museum of Virginia. In addition to celebrating the graduation of the Class of 2007, LEAD VIRGINIA will honor two individuals with the Service to LEAD VIRGINIA Award and the Virginia Leader Award. The cost for alumni and guests to attend the reception and graduation dinner is $100 per person. Entree selections are beef tenderloin and crab cakes. Please RSVP by November 10 to Amanda Luttrell.

Alumni are warmly invited to join the Class of 2007 at their close out session for an Alumni meeting to discuss "Capturing the Alumni Experience". The meeting will begin at 10:30 a.m. (following the earlier class discussion of "Capturing the Class Experience") and will be held at the law offices of Troutman Sanders in Richmond, at 1001 Haxall Point, and will continue through lunch and include a facilitated discussion with proposed outcomes for "what comes next". Lunch cost will be $15 per person for alumni to attend.

Applications for the Class of 2008 are ALREADY ARRIVING! Applications are available on the LEAD VIRGINIA website at www.leadvirginia.org. The deadline for applications is January 15, 2008!
Recruiting events are scheduled for the following areas:
Southern Virginia: Thursday, November 8
Hampton Roads: Wednesday, November 28
Northern Virginia: Wednesday, December 12
Additional recruiting events may be scheduled and we will notify you via email when and if those occur. If you have candidates for the Class of 2008 you would like to invite to one of these events, please email Susan Horne at shorne@leadva.org. It is NOT necessary to attend a recruiting event to apply for the Class of 2008.

Dr. Bela Sood '06, was featured in a recent Richmond Times Dispatch article on her role with the Virginia Tech investigative committee and the mental health system in Virginia (Sunday, September 23, 2007 edition).
