This is YOUR E-Newsletter
In addition to the class listserves (2005, 2006 and 2007), we would like to make this E-Newsletter a way to keep our LEAD VIRGINIA alumni community in touch and aware of the impact YOU are having on your regions, your communities and the Commonwealth. In other words, we want to brag about our alumni! Let us know what is new and exciting with you and we'll share the good news with your LEAD VIRGINIA colleagues.

| Class of 2007 Updates |
The Class of 2007 is following in the paths of 2005 and 2006 by visiting seven unique and distinct regions of Virginia. Most recently the class traveled by motorcoach to Southwest and several members enjoyed the time to network, catch up on phone calls and emails, and leave the driving to someone else. Class members visited the Powell River reclamation project, along with the Mountain Rose Vineyard, UVA's College at Wise and the Barter Theater. Interesting new sites were the facilities underway by Northrop Grumman and CGI to house 750 new technology jobs. Class members also learned about sustainable agriculture and its contribution to economic development. Did you know that $100 spent at a national bookstore chain circulates $13 within your local economy, while that same $100 spent at a locally owned bookstore circulates $45 in your local economy - three times the economic multiplier (from The Small-Mart Revolution by Michael Shuman, published 2006).
Betsy Frantz, '07, President & CEO of Leadership Arlington, was selected by Arlington County's Commission on the Status of Women as a 2007 Person of Vision. Congratulations, Betsy!
